Ar present I have no extra Ampex pinch rollers or 2-track head assemblies. I do have the following parts:
1. Two NICE 351 transports, your choice of high-speed (7.5/15 ips) or low-speed (3.75/7.5) capstan. Each comes with a
roll-around cabinet if you want it, but no head assembly. The transports are $200.00 each, no shipping.
Pick them up at my place near Winchester, Virginia, or you may have a shipping company come here and pick them up.
1. UTC B-6299/P-2345 input transformer removed from Ampex 350 electronics, good condition. THESE TRANSFORMERS WERE
PART OF THE LEGENDARY AMPEX TUBE-PREAMP SOUND! $35.00 plus shipping.
2. Neon Record light for 350/351. This one is orange, not white. Worked when removed from equipment.
$7.50 plus shipping. (On hold for customer until Sep. 17th, 2008)
3. 350/351 head assembly, full track. Includes partial cover and repainted head gate. No cables, but
the headblock itself is otherwise complete with the heads in the head shells with adjustment screws and so forth.
$30.00 plus shipping.
4. 350/351 headblock only with erase and record head shells, but no heads, cover struts, gate, cover, or cables,
$10.00 plus shipping.
5. 350/351 mono half-track play head, mounted in shell, $10.00 plus shipping.
6. Three head cables, about 36", with PR-10 connectors on the ends, E-R-P, $5.00 plus shipping.
7. Ampex 300/350/351 brake assembly, specify supply or takeup side,
good condition with solenoid, $25.00 each or $40.00 for the pair, plus shipping.
8. Several large (300/350/351 capstan idler or flywheel drive) solenoids and small (for 300/350/351 brake)
solenoids, all removed from working equipment, $10.00 each plus shipping.
9. 300/350/351 transport control relays and the large adjustable reel-tension resistors, most
parts $5.00 each plus shipping.
10. Replacement knobs, switches, and other parts for 350-351 electronics, most parts cheap. Small round knobs for 350/351
input selector switch, $2.00 each. Medium-sized knobs for 350/351 Meter & Output switch and speed-eq switch, $3.00 each.
Large knobs for Record and Playback level, usually available-- email me to inquire.
12. Also available-- Spare tubes for Ampex 350, 351 and other gear. I have LOTS of 12SJ7, 6F6, 6C5, and 6J5, all
used in 350 and 400 electronics. A few 6SN7 also. Several 12AU7, 12AX7, 12AT7, and many others, good condition but untested,
$3.00 each. Check with me for what you need.
13. Several Ampex 300/350 takeup and rewind motors, available singly or in pairs. $30.00 per motor, plus shipping
charges, which will be substantial on these heavier items. Some will need new 4 mfd. or 5 mfd. run-capacitors,
which are available from Grainger, among other sources.
Shipping for small parts and tubes is by First Class or Priority Mail, usually $4.80 and up.
Shipping for large and heavy parts (motors, especially)
is usually by FedEx Ground unless you request otherwise.
Ask me about other miscellaneous Ampex 300/350/351 parts you need, because I may have them.
