Did you ever hear of Bloodwood? Here's a bridge made by Bob Peelstrom:
Hey Red - Here's a couple of shots of a bloodwood bridge I made for a
Kentucky KH-850. This is my fourth attempt. I kept messing with asymetrical
wings until I got what I wanted for bass/treble response. It sounds great
now, and scooping those supports seemed to increase the volume AND the
sustain. I'm tempted to shave a little more, but I think I'll leave well
enough alone for now.
I'll send you a chunk in the next day or two.
